Since 1982 Strive has offered a home in the community for six ladies with developmental disABILITIES. A neat white cottage beautifully decorated in an upscale neighborhood, Miller Manor is a home where each resident has their own bedroom. At least once a year, the staff meets with each lady to develop and review an Independent Program Plan. Addressing areas of self-help that will increase the residents’ skills for living more independently, each person is progressing toward their individual goals, helping to plan and cook meals, and working with others to handle household responsibilities. The ladies are also active in the community participating in events such as going to dinner, movies and festivals, walking for Breast Cancer awareness, and much more.
